Harold,

within the short two years, I had the privilege to work with you, you have been more than the fellow college, you were my teacher, a dear friend and you shomehow replaced my friends and family, I left behind in Germany. I alway enyoyed to work with you in the late hours, when the office guys already went home, and we two pulled hanging casting out of definetly not perfect designed die casting moulds. I've learned so many tricks from you. It was not the higly educated german engineer that showed you the tricks, it was the skilled foreman from Cambridge that showed unexperienced german engineering, how to make die castings.
The combined strength of your long experience and my thorough education made many things much better at Cambridge Manufacturing.
The two years with you gave me the fundamental experience to run my own die casting company back in Germany. I would love to show you what we are doing at the moment.
I am also very thankfull to see, that you a had long time for yourself after retirement and I hope your country treated you well.
The last time I've seen you (I think) was in 1999 or 2000 when I was coming back for a one week sailing regatta. Unfortunately the world has changed a lot in the last years, your country has changed a lot (to the worse).
If there is something as a heaven, I promise I'm going to look for you, and we are going to make big business die casting together!

With many happy memories
