Boston area to attend Brandeis College. After college she worked as an assistant for Gov.
Michael Dukasis. She took time off to raise her children but returned to work doing diversity
training for the Anti-Defamation League. In 1987 her family moved to Lexington, MA, where
Sherry and Michael raised their 3 kids. Sherry was active in local politics, becoming the first
black school committee member of Lexington, as well as an active town meeting member. Later,
Sherry and Michael moved to Maynard, MA.
Sherry was one of a kind. She was a devoted wife, beloved sister, and phenomenal mom. She
often said she was blessed to have her family. However, her family would say they were blessed
to have her as their mother, grandmother, sister and wife. There will never be another like her.
