Olga Williams Obituary

Olga Williams was born on January 12, 1926, in Christ Church, Barbados, West Indies.  She was the only child of Lloyd Whitfield Bynoe and Gwendolyn (Chase) Bynoe.Olga left Barbados in 1956 and traveled to London to pursue a career in nursing.  While in London, she met and married Aubrey Williams who was also from Barbados. From this union they had 3 children, Wendy, Ian and Heather.  In 1966, the family immigrated from London, England to the United States.  They first lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts and in 1967 the family moved to Medford, Massachusetts.Olga was a faithful long-standing member of the Immanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She has made significant sacrificial contributions to the funding of several evangelistic initiatives including the acquisition of the church and the numeric growth of the church. She loved to knit, do crossword puzzles, take bus trips with her Senior Center group, and attended various classes at the West Medford Community Center.  Olga also liked to bake cakes, West Indian sweet treats and various savory foods, which she often shared with family, friends and neighbors.

On June 27, Olga passed away, at home, peacefully in her sleep.  Olga is survived by daughters Wendy Chandler and Heather Williams, granddaughters, Kamari Williams and Crystal Chandler and a host of relatives and friends.  Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Williams and son, Ian Williams.
