Lionel Burton

Lionel .R. Burton had a remarkable life. Lionel was a memorable person and made an impressionable impact on so many people’s lives.

Lionel .R. Burton was born on July 4th, 1951 in Carton village Barbados, WI he was the third child born to Lionel .R. Burton and Mildred .I. Burton. He lived his young adult life in Hinds bury Rd Barbados, WI, Lionel attended Parkinson’s school in Barbados, WI and graduated. He then went to work for Robert’s manufacturing as a general worker, then worked for the Barbados transport board as a bus conductor. Over the years Lionel worked in the US at Polaroid, The Beacon Restaurant and Mass Eye and Ear as a chef.

In high school Lionel met Janet Ishmael and they were married in 1975. In 1978 they gave birth to their daughter Nicole .P. Burton. On June 14th, 2018 Lionel and Janet celebrated their forty-third wedding anniversary. Lionel was a member of FHC and his hobbies were golfing, fishing, gardening, cooking, listening to oldies music and watching his favorite football team the Pat’s. 

Lionel is survived by: (Wife) Janet .D. Burton, (Daughter) Nicole Burton, (Grandson) D’Andre Bigot  (Sister’s) Lorenza Downes, Margaret Downes, Yvonne Burton, Valerie Roach. (Brother’s) Anthony Burton, Oliver Burton. (Niece’s) Sandra Downes M.D., M.P.H, Sonia Compere, Greta Hanaway and six others. (Nephew’s) Wayne Downes, Ray Downes, Dave Downes, Sherwin Ishmael and four others. (Sister-In- Law’s) Doriel Dunner, Betty Ishmael, Margo Duncan, Cheryl Parham and one other. (Brother- In- Law’s) Richardo Dunner and one other. (Best Friend) Kelvin Greene and a multitude of Friend’s.

Lionel will greatly be missed!
