               Rhythm to Our Rhyme

Heaven gained an angel on a yesterday (April 18)

The rhythm to our rhyme.

Took. Us. A. Minute. Could NOT believe the news.

Can you please slow down and repeat?

Took a minute to catch our breath. To digest. To find peace.

Indeed, our rhyme skipped a beat.

We were separated by an epidemic of pandemic proportions.

Alzheimer’s united us dredging up waves of emotions.

You were and still are the rhythm to our rhyme.

You lived by example making a way out of no way.

You taught us how to be tenacious

To still color even when there were no lines.

Heaven gained an angel on a yesterday

Inez Theresa Newton our rhythm our rhyme.

The heartbeat to our family tree

That same melody beats within me -within us (our rhyme).

Your love is part of the sheet music that outlines our lives.

What is our rhyme you say?

What is the origin of our rhythm you may ask?
