Gregory Ashe

GREGORY LEE ASHE was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on June 17, 1953, to the late Eleanore (Lee) Ashe and Clifton H. Ashe, Sr. He was the second of three sons born to this union.
Gregory attended Houghton Public Grammar School and went on to attend Rindge Technical High School (both in Cambridge, MA), from which he graduated in 1972.
 
Following graduation, Gregory worked various jobs before joining the U.S. Postal Service in the early 1970s, where he worked—in Cambridge and Boston—for over 35 years.
 
Gregory departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Eleanore and Clifton H. Ashe, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory: his brothers Clifton H. Ashe, Jr. and Jeffrey W. Ashe; nephew, Sterling McDowell-Ashe; cousin Leslie Langston; nephew/cousin Baron Langston, Sr.; great-nephew/cousin Baron Langston, Jr.; cousins Glenford and Graziella Lambert and family; and a host of other cousins.
 
A Service of Remembrance will be held for Gregory on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 5:00 PM, at the A.J. Spears Funeral Home Chapel, 124 Western Avenue, Cambridge, MA.
