March 11, 2022. Evan Edward Thomas Mirbel died suddenly due to his injuries when walking around Gardner, Mass, where he lived. He was struck by a motor vehicle and died at the scene.
Evan leaves behind his mother, Marie I. MacDonald of Orange, MA, and his father, Thomas Mirbel of Lynn MA. He is survived by two brothers, Rajendra W. Dianand of Atlanta and Onias Mirbel of Massachusetts. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind many friends.
Evan was born in Boston in 1988. He lived most of his life in Cambridge, Massachusetts, until he moved to Athol, Mass, in 2009. He moved to Gardner, Mass, in 2019.
Evan worked as a Bakery Assistant at Hanaford’s and Price Chopper. Evan loved everything about food and cooking. He held a certificate in culinary arts from Job Corps. He often spent his Sundays at his mother’s house, where he would cook new recipes for himself and his mom.
He was also into physical fitness and often spent time at the gym at Mount Wachusett Community College. He was a student at The Mount, majoring in Exercise & Sport Science - Liberal Arts & Sciences. He was also on the Honor Roll at MWCC.
One of the places where Evan spent time was Alyssa’s Place in Gardner. He was very active at Alyssa’s Place and went on many field trips with the group.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Services will be at A J Spears Funeral Home, 124 Western Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139. Burial will be private.
