Clarence Edward “Ed” Ligon Jr.
1948-2025
Born to Clarence Ligon Sr. and Mary E. Ligon (Frederick) on October 12, 1948. Loving husband to Barbara Jeanne Ligon, to whom he was married for over 55 years. Prior to his retirement, Ed was a banker who worked and volunteered in several communities. After retiring, Ed continued his volunteer work, notably for the Mystic Valley NAACP. Ed enjoyed travelling with his wife, being with his grandchildren, sports and photography. In addition to his wife, he will be greatly missed and is survived by his children Jennifer (Richard) and Teddy (Jana), grandchildren Imani, Nyla, Jojo, and Aya, his brother David, and many loving friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mystic Valley NAACP, in his memory, would be greatly appreciated. A celebration of Ed’s life will take place on Saturday, January 10th, at 10 am, at Grace Episcopal Church in Medford.
