A devoted man of God, Cecil Dubarry, passed away on March 26, 2021 in his hometown of Revere, Massachusetts. He was the first son of the late Ramdhan and Sybil Dubarry and was born on January 12, 1943 in the Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago.
He was the faithful, loving, caring and inseparable husband of Hermia Dubarry (for the past fifty-four years). Cecil was the Father of three Young adult children: Abigail, Natasha and Paul, and the proud Grandfather of Anton, Sadiya, Tristan, Matthias, and Christopher. He welcomed his son-in-law Theodore Brown and Daughter-in–Law Julie Shimizu with the love of Christ.
Cecil was the brother of two older sisters Bernice and Wilma, two younger brothers Michael and Rolly and his older deceased brother Merlin. He was the uncle and grand uncle of several nieces and nephews. He had many close relatives and numerous friends in Trinidad & Tobago, the US, Canada and other parts of the world.
A respectable member of the Police Force of Trinidad and Tobago, Cecil served his country until he migrated to the United States in 1989. As a devoted member of the Christian faith-community, he served his God and his neighbors as a man of integrity. His personality was more of a peacemaker than the one who would encourage conflict and disorder.
From the moment Cecil gave his life to God to the day he died, he was a steadfast born-again Christian. He preached, prayed, encouraged others, witnessed, played his guitar, and sang Christian songs. He and Hermia brought up their children and grandchildren to fear and love their God. He was an example to his children and to all who knew him. He was truly a loving caring and sacrificial father who gave of himself first to God and then to his family. He suffered and sacrificed quietly with and for his family. He truly lived an exemplary Christian life of love before his family, his community and society. May he rest in peace till we meet again.
