Anne Marie Fanfan Obituary

Anne Marie Fanfan, affectionately known as “Claude,” was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose selflessness, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of many. She passed away suddenly on April 24, 2025, at the age of 66.
Anne Marie was born on April 3, 1959, in Les Anglais, Haiti, to Milienne Fanfan and Odrique La Roche. She immigrated to the United States in 1989, where she made Cambridge, Massachusetts her home for many years. In August 1990, she welcomed her beloved daughter, Milgathe Fanfan, who remained the light of her life.
A hardworking woman, Anne Marie spent over three decades employed at C&K and Market Basket. She was known for her warmth, resilience, and the way she expressed love—often through sharing home-cooked meals generously served with care. Cooking, music, family conversations, and watching Family Feud were among her favorite pastimes.
Later in life, as she faced ongoing health challenges, Anne Marie displayed remarkable strength and perseverance. Despite her pain, she remained positive, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of others—always checking in on loved ones and ensuring everyone was well-fed and cared for. She had a heart of gold and never hesitated to help anyone in need, even if it meant giving her last dollar.
Anne Marie’s nurturing spirit made her a “mother to all,” and her unwavering love left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her compassion, resilience, generosity, and the joy she brought into people’s lives.
She is survived by her daughter Milgathe Fanfan; her siblings Lucy, Jean Robert, Marlene, Eximene, and Matiege; Neices and nephews; Gina, Vanessa, Philip, Nedly, Widly, Wesley, Malherbe, Katie, Malisha, and Marquis. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Milienne Fanfan and Odrique La Roche.
Though she is no longer in pain, her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on forever. Rest in peace, Anne Marie—may you fly high with the angels.
